Lothar Heinke
Lothar Heinke, a rare breed of Berlin native, worked as a chief reporter for the East Berlin paper Der Morgen until 1991. After the Wall came down, he joined the metro section of Tagesspiegel, Berlin's leading daily where he wrote numerous stories on city life. He also published the book Fernsehturm Berlin, about the city's TV Tower at Alexanderplatz. He likes to listen to music (especially classical music), loves Italy, and he is a member and also an ardent fan of the famed Berlin 1 FC Union soccer club.
